Its just the fan sooner or later will wear out. The less of mechanical parts the better your chances of having a long lasting Roko. So if you don't have an HDR set and never plan on using it then the Roku 4 is fine that is if the fan stays quiet and keeps the unit cool. They when working right deserve a good rating when running smoothly. I however just didn't want to chance it and returned it not trying it out at all for the Ultra but the Roku 4 still stands as a 4 or 5 stars.

You will just have to decide what is right for your needs. The Roku device is working well. When I first installed the device it was add hock for testing purposes only. I found the Roku to be stable and very user friendly. The final placement is in a remote Com cabinet.

Some devices will not sync properly when configured in this manner - the Roku has no issues syncing and works as well as having it 10' from the screen. The Roku works very well via IR commands as the included WiFi remote isn't strong enough to penetrate the Com cabinet. One note to Roku: Roku - make it much easier to bypass this requirement.

I have the roku 4 for about 2 weeks now and overall I like it. My only dislikes are that: Would be great to have support for Google play music for example and others.

Kinda reminds me the apple TV player layout. That's an awesome option that I think you guys should consider in the future. Whit that being said, this player has a lot of good thinks in his favor that I like. The option to have an SD card for extra storage is pretty nice. Also the player is very fast loading everything you through at it with no problem, I haven't experienced any buffering or lag yet whatsoever. Another cool feature is the remote finder. That's pretty convenient if you're like me who puts the remote in every place and forgets where it is.

So I think with a refreshed image UI and some other minor details I think this can be the perfect player. The player itself is working fine, but I bought a second, now I have to test it with two going at the same time.

I have to see if one slows the other. The instructions for set up seem easy enough and it was. But what I found was the Customer service was great, I have chatted online with two technicians for two different problems. While the wait time was a little long to get to them, the service more than made up it for it. Both were patient and knowledgeable. Both guided me through what had to be done. I am not computer savvy by any means but both helped in a way I could understand.

I had not set up Netflix the proper way, and the other problem was about local channels. All in all I recommend Roku for it's great customer service. They care about the purchaser.

When I started thinking about it, the only things I watch on tv now are mostly things that can be seen on Roku. News is depressing but I can also get all that I need on internet with my tablet, computer, cell phone, or I can even watch some on my ROKU.

This thing is wonderful. I really wish they had more Nick shows but there are lots of Disney shows I can watch plus, I can also let the kids watch the older movies I used to watch when I was growing up.

They are much more family friendly than today's shows. Product Great, Walmart not so much. Walmart, however, was frustrating. I searched on-line for in store availablity. I found one at a nearby store and could "pick up today". So I added it to my cart. When I went to check out, it stated " product may be picked up" two days later!! So I found it three stores away. I purchased it on-line and went to pick it up at the store. The lay away desked was not staffed and the people behind the wall were having a great time laughing it up.

Stood there minutes after pressing the need help button. A manager finally came by and was perturbed I hadn't been helped. They finally helped me. The last thing I have a problem with is, I was looking at some other products on-line and the price online did not match the shelf price.

Walmart did honor the online price though.
